Paneer Peas Paratha



By this time you guys must have come to know that how much I love paneer, so there is another recipe with paneer. Few days back when I was preparing peas paratha for my boy I thought of mixing some paneer to it to give a new taste to the same old peas paratha, and wow it taste too good. Even my kid liked it. So if you guys are bored from usual paratha then you must try this one.


RECIPE:

Cooking Time: 15-20 mins
Preparation Time: 10-15 mins


Ingredients:


For  Paratha:
  • Wheat flour: 1 & 1/2 Cup
  • Ghee/oil: 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
For Stuffing:
  • Paneer: 1 cup (grated or crumbled)
  • Peas: 1/2 cup 
  • Green chilli: 1-2
  • Onion: 1 small ( finely chopped)
  • Cumin seed: 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala: 1/2 tsp( optional)
  • Cumin pwd: 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander leaves: few string( finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste 




Method


  • In large bowl combine the wheat flour, salt and oil, mix well.
  • Add water to make soft and smooth dough.



  • Heat 1/2 tsp oil and add cumin seed, once cumin seed start spluttering  add peas and cook for 1-2 mins.
  • Grind green chilli and peas coarsely. 
  • Combine the paneer, peas mixture, onion,salt,  chaat masala and coriander leaves. Mix well and keep aside.



  • Make equal size of ball from dough and paneer-paes stuffing mixture.
  • Roll the dough ball in thick circular shape and place stuffing at center.
  • Cover the stuffing as shown in pic and roll it out with little dusting of flour.



  • Cook on both the side until golden spot appears then apply little of oil/ghee.
Note:
  • Can replace green chilli with red chilli pwd.
  • Can replace 1/2 cup of wheat flour with maida/all purpose flour, it tastes good.
