Paneer Quesadilla

First time I tasted Quesadilla at Pizza Hut when we were deciding menu for our kid's birthday party. From that day till today whenever I go to Pizza hut I order paneer quesadilla. Last week I prepared it at home and it come out well, so from now onward I can have my favorite Quesadilla at home any time. Drool !!! 

Cooking Time: 20 mins
Preparation Time: 10-15 mins

  • Tortilla: 2
  • Cheese: as required
  • Paneer: 1/2 cup( crumbled or  chopped)
  • Onion: 1 small( finely chopped)
  • Tomato: 1 small ( finely chopped)
  • Capsicum: 1/4 cup ( finely chopped)
  • Turmeric pwd: a pinch
  • Red chilli Pwd: 1/6 tsp
  • Cumin pwd: 1/3 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves: few springs


  • Heat oil in kadai/pan and add chopped onion, cook till it start turning light brown .
  • Add the tomato and capsicum. Cook till tomatoes turn soft.

  • Add all the dry masala and salt and cook for another 2-3 mins.
  • Add the paneer and coriander leaves , mix well so that paneer are well coated with masala. 
  • Cook for 1-2 mins. turn off the heat .

  • Take a tortilla and spread paneer mixture as shown in the picture.  
  • Spread grated cheese on top of paneer mixture and fold it exactly into half to cover the spread completely.

  • Heat a pan/griddle and grease with butter/ oil and arrange the tortilla stuffed with paneer. Cook in low flame on both sides until golden brown and crispy. By that time, the cheese will also melt.
  • Cut each in to two quarters and serve hot with tomato sauce or cheesy dip.


  • You can also spread over fully on a tortilla and close the filling with another tortilla, toast both sides and cut into quarters.
  • Cheese can be increased or decreased as per your choice.
