Chocolate Mousse

This is my another summer special post. Chocolate Mousse has a rich chocolate flavor and a smooth texture.  Its really a great dessert option to beat the heat. 


Freezing Time: 3-4 hrs
Preparation Time: 5-8 mins

  • Dark Chocolate: 1 cup (chopped)
  • Cool whipped cream: 1/2 cup
  • Fresh cream: 1/3 cup
For whipped cream:
  • Heavy cream: 1/2 cup 
  • Sugar: 1 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence: 1/4 tsp


For whipped cream:

  • Pour the heavy cream into a large bowl.
  • Take ice cubes in large bowl and place cream bowl in large bowl.
  • Add the sugar,  and vanilla extract. 

  • Whip the mixture together until get soft peaks( as shown in pic).
  • Let the whipped cream cool in the fridge for about 15-20 mins. 

For Chocolate mousse:

  • Melt the dark chocolate in microwave oven at 80% for two minutes .
  • Add the fresh cream to the dark chocolate and mix well. 

  • Add  the whipped cream into the dark chocolate mixture and whisk well. 
  • Transfer mixture into small glass and allow to set in the refrigerator for at least 3-4 hrs.
  • Serve  chilled.


  • 1/2 cup of cream, will yield 1 cup whipped cream.
  • Adding more sugar will fluff up the mixture. 
  • Can add cream/whipped cream at top for decoration.
