Plain Paratha



Paratha is something which can be served anytime, i.e breakfast, lunch or dinner. Very easy to prepare and can be served with any curry or simply with curd. It is prepared with wheat flour.

RECIPE:

Cooking Time: 2-3 mins(each paratha)
Preparation Time: 5-10 mins


Ingredients:

Wheat Flour: 1 cup
Salt to taste
Ghee as required


Method:

  1. Combine the wheat flour, salt and 1 tbsp ghee in a bowl and mix well. 
  2. Add little water at a time to make a smooth and soft dough. Keep aside for 15-20 mins(optional). 
  3. Now make a lemon size balls (around 4 balls).
  4. Roll out to a thin roti/circle, then apply few drops of ghee on half portion of roti and spread evenly. Then fold to a semicircle, again apply ghee and spread evenly. Then fold it again to form a triangle.
  5. Roll it to desired thickness (should not be very thick or thin). Heat tawa/griddle and place the paratha carefully. Once bubbles starts appearing turn to other side and apply ghee. Cook on both sides till brown spots appear.
  6. Serve hot with any curry of your choice.
