Christmas Tree Cupcake

Christmas is nearing, so I thought to post something special for Christmas.. As we can't think of Christmas without Christmas Tree and cakes so thought to combine these two and prepare something special which is just perfect for this festive season. Wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!
RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 20-22 mins
Decorating time: 10-15 mins

Ingredients
  • Cupcakes: 5-6 (basic vanilla flavor)
For Buttercream Icing:
  • Unsalted butter: 1/2 cup(Softened)
  • Confectioners/powdered sugar: 1 & 1/2 cup (sifted)
  • Vanilla extract/essence: 1/2 tbsp
  • Whipping Cream: 1 tbsp
  • Food green color: few drops
For Whipped cream icing:
  • Fresh cream: 1&1/2 cup
  • Confectioners/powdered sugar: 1/3 cup
  • Vanilla essence: 1/2 tsp

Method:

For Buttercream Frosting/icing:

  • Beat butter for a few mins on medium speed.

  • Add the powdered sugar and turn your mixer/blender on the lowest speed so that sugar doesn't blow everywhere.Mix on low speed until well blended and then increase speed to medium and beat for another 3 mins.

  • Add vanilla extract and cream and beat for another 2-3 mins.
  • Add the green color and mix well

For Whipped cream Frosting/icing

  • Pour the  cream into a large bowl.
  • Take ice cubes in large bowl and place cream bowl in large bowl.

  • Add the sugar,  and vanilla extract.
  • Whip the mixture together until get soft peaks( as shown in pic).
  • Let the whipped cream cool in the fridge for about 15-20 mins.

How to decorate:

  • Transfer both the icing in different pipping bag. For making tree we'll use buttercream icing and star nozzle and for snow we'll use whipped cream icing.
  • Make  the snow with the whipped cream icing by covering the cupcake top with whipped cream as shown in pic).
  • To make tree take a buttercream icing and make a tree shape as shown in pic.
  • Lastly decorate with some sugar balls and marzipan star.
  • Christmas Cupcake is ready to serve.

Note:
  • For buttercream icing butter should be softened but not melted.
  • For buttercream icing you can use milk instead of cream.
  • 1/2 cup of cream, will yield 1 cup whipped cream.
  • For whipped cream icing adding more sugar will fluff up the mixture.
  • Can use buttercream icing only but that will make cupcakes to sweet as buttercream icing is sweeter than whipped cream icing.
  • Can use chocolate flavor cupcakes.
