Mushroom Masala


Mushroom Masala is simple yet mouthwatering. It is a dry side dish and goes well with roti , paratha. Whoever likes mushroom, will surely love this recipe.


Cooking Time: 20-30 mins
Preparation Time: 5-10 mins
Serve: 2-3


Button mushroom: 200 grm
Onion: 1 large(finely chopped)
Tomato: 1 large(finely chopped)
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tsp
Turmeric pwd: 1/4 tsp
Chilli pwd: 1/3 tsp
Cumin pwd: 1/2 tsp
Coriander pwd: 1/2 tsp
Garam masala pwd: 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves: 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Salt to taste

  1. Wash the mushroom and cut into medium size pieces. 
  2. Heat 2-3 tsp oil in kadai/pan and saute the mushroom for 4-6 mins on medium heat.
  3. Again heat 2-3 tsp oil in pan and add  the finely chopped onion and ginger garlic paste and cook till onion is golden brown in color.
  4. Add the tomatoes, turmeric pwd, chilli pwd, cumin pwd, coriander pwd salt and mix well and cook till tomatoes are soft.
  5. Now add mushroom mix well and cook for a while then add little water and again cook for another 3-5 mins
  6. Now garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
