Aloo Gobi



Aloo Gobi is all time favorite recipe of all age group. There are many ways of making aloo gobi,here I'm sharing a dry version. This goes well with roti, paratha, naan or rice.

RECIPE:
Cooking Time: 15-20 mins
Preparation Time: 10-15 mins

Ingredients:
  • Cauliflower: 8-10 florets
  • Potatoes : 2 medium (cut into wedges)
  • Peas/Matar: 1/8 cup
  • Onions : 1 big (Finely chopped fine)
  • Tomatoes : 1 big (pureed)
  • Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
  • Kitchen king Masala: 3/4 tsp
  • Turmeric pwd : 1/3 tsp
  • Red Chilli pwd : 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander pwd : 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin pwd:  1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to cook
  • Coriander leaves : few string (chopped)


Method:


  • Fry the Gobi/cauliflower for 5-8 mins or  till done. Take out and set aside.
  • Fry the  potatoes till browned and set aside.
  • Heat a little oil and add cumin, once it starts spluttering add ginger-garlic paste. Cook for few sec and add chopped onion and saute till transparent or light brown in color.


  • Add the pureed tomatoes and  salt and cook till tomatoes are soft. 
  • Add the turmeric pwd, cumin pwd, chilli pwd and coriander pwd. Mix well and cook till oil starts separating. 
  • Add fried Gobi/cauliflower, potato,matar/peas and coriander leaves. Mix well and cook for few more mins.
  • Turn off the heat and transfer into serving dish.




Note:

  • Can use Boiled potato in place of fried one.
  • Use the fresh peas, it will enhance the taste.
  • Do not over cook the gobi/cauliflower else it will spoil the look of dish.
