Tandoori Gobhi


Tandoori gobhi is a unique appetizer which taste awesome. This dish is not available everywhere. The marinade used for this dish is some what similar to that of paneer tikka.

RECIPE:


Cooking Time: 30-35 mins
Preparation Time: 10-15 mins

Ingredients:
  • Cauliflower: 10-12  same sized florets
  • Hung curd: 3-4 tbsp
  • Gram(Besan)Flour: 1 tbsp( dry roasted)
  • Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli powder: 3/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder:1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Chat Masala powder : a pinch
  • Jeera powder: 1/4 tsp
  • Ajwain - 1/8 tsp
  • Coriander Leaves few springs
  • Lemon juice:1/2 tsp
  • Oil:2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:



  • Blanch the cauliflower with salt. It should be soft but not over cook,Drain and Set aside.
  • Combine the hung curd  with all the dry ingredients and mix well to form a smooth thick batter.


  • Add the cauliflower pieces and mix well. Make sure that all the pieces are well coated.Marinate it for an hour.


  • Preheat oven at 200 deg C for 10 mins.
  • After an hour arrange the pieces on baking tray and brush it with little oil.
  • Bake  it for about 30-35 mins and or until it turns golden brown.Turn over in between for even baking.
  • Serve hot with green chutney.


Note:
  • For tikka style you can use skewers and pin them alternatively with onion and capsicum as we do for paneer tikka.
  • Make sure to turn over in between for even baking.
