Garlic Baby Patato

Garlic Baby Potato is very simple dish which can be prepared in lesser time and required only few ingredients. Last week when I was running out of time then I prepared it. This can compliment any meal.

Cooking Time: 15-20 mins
Preparation Time: 10 mins

  • Baby Potato: 10-12 ( boiled and half)
  • Tomatoes: 2 large( pureed)
  • Garlic: 1tbsp( finely chopped)
  • Green chilli: 2 pcs( slit in middle)
  • Cumin seed: 1 tsp
  • Cumin pwd: 1/2 tsp
  • Kitchen king masala: 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric pwd: 1/4 tsp
  • Chilli pwd: 1/3 tsp( 1/4 if dont want to make too spicy)
  • Garam masala: less then 1/4
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves: few springs
  • Oil to cook


  • Heat oil in pan/kadai and fry potatoes for 2 mins. Take out and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in pan/kadai and add cumin seed, when it start spluttering then add garlic and green chilli. Fry or few sec.

  • Add the pureed tomatoes and cook for 2-3 mins on medium heat.
  • Add the dry masala and salt and cook till oil starts separating or the raw smell leaves.
  • Add the fried potatoes and give a mix well so that potatoes are well coated with the masala

  • Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Serve hot with roti or paratha.

  • You can replace baby potatoes with regular potatoes.
  • It tastes best when serve hot.
